Default 87 Quadsport?

My dad picked up an 87 quadsport. The ball joints need to be replaced. It looks like you can take off the ball joints and replace them is this correct? Are Aftermarket ones available? Is it possible to get an automotive ball joint that would fit?

My other question is; is it possible to replace the arms with ones from either a quad race or quadzilla?

Their website is HERE but I don't believe they do ball joints. Mostly bearings & seals (tie rods too) and the site doesn't list any nor does my Parts Unlimited catalog. You can usually get them off of eBay pretty cheap or try BikeBandit.com

I know the ball joints would be out of the quesion but when I built a Honda 350RX I was able to find a tie rod end off of a car that matched up. I know the tops would be out of the question but the bottoms should be pretty close. (I would hope) anyways thanks for your help.

Man I remember when the '87 quad sport came out, it was awesome. It was bright Orange and ran like a raped ape back then. Sorry I can't help you with your question, but it just brought back some memories.
