You'll never get any response from FMF by emailing them. You have to call them. They are very helpful.

I have 2 stock pipes for my 87 and both of the flanges are welded to the pipe. FMF makes a flange that is sold with their pipe that bolts onto the jug. The pipe then slips on and is held in place with exhaust springs.

Did you buy the pipe new or used? If you bought it new, it should have come with the flange and springs.

I bought the pipe new from an online dealer. I emailed them and got no response, no response from FMF yet either.

Thanks for the info everybody, I thought I was losing my mind. There's so many different models of LTs and they all have different set ups that weeding through the information can be confusing.

Semms40oz I called FMF with the info I got here and ordered my flange. Should be here next week. $36.99 ouch! Instead of buying a "close out" part for $149 shipped and not recieving the flange I could have order from somewhere else and got the whole damn thing the first time for less money. I'm not to happy right now.

he's right on the 85-86 LT250R's the flange is welded to the pipe... it wasn't until 87 that they made it a seperate peice.

2StrokeSmoke, let me know if you can find one.... i may have an extra somewhere or you can check ebay.
not true, i had an 86 and took the exhaust of many times, the Flange mouts to the block via 3 studs, then the pipe slides up on the flange, and then a spring holds the pipe to the flange.

I think he's saying the stock pipe's flanges was welded on and the aftermarket ones had removable flanges.
