Default 92 lt250r problems

The vent tubes connected to the carb are leaking a lot of gas and it is hard to start. It runs well, but it just doesn't want to start sometimes. Is my carb bad?

if the overflow tubes are leaking then the float must be stuck open. if you pull the carb and pull the bottom bowl off it ,there will be a float the little needle like thing it pushes up to shut off fuel flow gets gummed up not allowing it to close. ther for your bowl stays over full all the time and leaks out overflow.

the same thing is going on with my LT250R, i checked the float and it wasn't stuck, so i think my carb is garbage, pretty soon i'm going to go with a Keihin 38mm or a 40, since i've dealt with Mikunis all i had were problems, i have a Keihin on my TRX250R and it performs awesome, but still got the old junk 34mm Mikuni on the Quadracer

I just got the quad and i didn't intend on spending a lot of extra money on it, so would the carb work better if i rebuilt it or is it better to just buy a new carb (possibly one that is set for alcohol?).

hey nicholson when u push float up can you blow into the fuel inlet? you shouldnt be able too. also theres a setting for that little prong u bend it to the setting in manual. that adjusts how far the float has to rise before shutting.
