You hit the nail on the head BigBang. Knowing what we know now I simply can't understand why someone would go out and 1.) knowingly buy a defective machine 2.) do business with a company that is anally raping its current customers.

Amazing. Suzuki has really blown it.

OHHH PPPUUUUUHHLEEAASSEE !!! Get real. Suzuki has a minor glitch with a reverse function that few riders will ever get near to using and you go **** !!?? They have done a spot on job dealing with the problem. As soon as they had any indication of a problem they came up with a fix. Not the eventual fix, but a fix nonetheless, and soon after, the real fix of the caged roller bearing.

Personally if I were a King Quad owner I would want to keep the original ECM and just get the caged roller bearing. Suzuki has made it a recall and is paying for all of it,,,,so what is your freakin' problem?
.
.......sh!+ Happens, and machines break, especially new models. Suzuki has done as good a job handling this as any manufacturer has ever handled a problem like this, short of coming over to your house and giving you a ...........
.
.......They made a mistake, and are doing everything they can reasonably do to fix it. So lighten up.

Hey fourlix what are you talking about? Reverse's exploding a minor glitch?????? The first fix you speak of did absolutely nothing besides limiting the power and making reverse a pain in the a$$. I dont call getting up to 4 mph before it sputters to death a fix.
Get your info right, Suzuki has made no such recall for the reverse, you cannot keep your old ecm (unless you want to void your warranty) and the only way you can get the roller bearing is if your reverse fails. Maybe you could pay for it but most of us dont have an extra 2500 laying around after dropping 7+ grand on this machine.
My freaking problem is Suzuki should be doing a recall on this obvious design flaw but they are not. Until you get one and have to deal with all the sh** we are you otta lighten up, or atleast get your info right.

Minor glitch??????? Why don't you just give me $2500 bucks for kicks to shut me up then if you've got so much money that you don't care if your get burned for $2500 after you have to walk out of the woods on the first day of your 5 day vacation when you only get two weeks a year anyhow. Lets see you call this a "minor glitch" then!!!!! Apparently you look it as just minor inconvenience the same way as the bean counters at Suzuki do. Thats a lot of cash to a working man who looks forward to his out of work activities so much.....only to have all of his plans destroyed by a machine with a known defect. How about Suzuki upgrade all of the units for anyone who contacts them and is concerned about it? And to heck with the rest of the people like you who say its just a minor glitch and that you can live with it? That would reduce their costs huh? And make the rest of us as happy as you are.....

Has this happened to any of you? You are bitching and moaning about something that has only occurred in a few rare instances. It is a problem nonetheless, one that none of you would know about if SUZUKI hadn't brought it up.
......On the other hand, keep bitching, 'cause a recall is appropriate, and I am sure Suzuki is not going to act like Yamaha did with the Raptor's transmission.

Thanks to the Internet, folks knew about this reverse glitch WAY BEFORE Suzuki decided to tell us about it.So to say that none of us would know about it if it were'nt for Suzuki,is FALSE......In fact,if it were'nt for the internet,im allmost betting that Suzuki would be playing the DUMB game with its customers.

AHHHHHHH--dont yah just love the internet.
