250 R problems

Default 250 R problems

88 Lt 250 R somehow getting oil into the cylinder out of the trans and causing it to use trans oil and smoke alot...i put in new crank seals and nothing, didnt help a thing, anybody have any ideas? its also getting water in the oil, im guessing its the water pump seals, putting them in tomorrow. but need some help with the oil problem..thanks...Eric

Look at this oil seal kit. There's quite a few seals that can go bad besides the crank seals.

i guess no reply's to that problem huh? what about the o-ring that is in side the piece that the crank seal rides on? i changed the crank seal but i didn't change that o-ring could that be my problem? or any other guess's out there? thanks

The oil in the cylinder is most likley your Rings, or bad scoring in the cylinder walls, i'd check both, and the water could be from a crack in one of your cases or from the cooling system some were. hope this helps

itsn all brand new, and the only oil that should be in the cylinder should be from the gas/oil mix and should only burn and smoke as much as the amount of oil that i mix in the gas. but its drawing oil out of the trans somwhere somehow..

if there oil in your water and vice a versa 100% positive its your water pump seal bro!

i agree that would make it have oil in the water and water in the oil but theres know way that that could get either in the cylinder..
