Trouble with 87 Suzuki Quadsport 230
#1
My Suzuki is really hard to shift up. And it is really hard to get into neutral. Does anyone know how to fix. Can you adjust the shift lever to make it move more?
Thanks

take those stupid links out and get a standard stright shift lever for your bike, you may need to measure what length you'll need. thats what i did on a '86 lt230s and never had anymore problems

Vince's Cycle has a great set up that'll take care of your shifter problem..

Yo Malhombre, I can't remember what bike the shifter was for but just get on with the same size shift shaft diamater. it was just a generic one of the rack/wall at the bike shop. Hope that helps?

I just got my LT230 and it came without the linkage, just a straight shifter and works good. It can be a little hard to find neutral but no bid deal.

What about the chain. There is a lot of play and it will pop off if I go in reverse too fast. Will the plastic idler take all the out? They are pretty worn.
Thanks
