I bought a used Paul Turner pipe on ebay a few months ago and had been doing various things to the quad and had not got to ride it sence the installation. Well I pulled it out in the driveway to start it up and it started fine but I couldn't get it to idle. I messed with the carb adjustments checked the fuel flow everything I could think of and then it started dying if you gave it any gas at all. So I start looking around and just happened to noticed the silencer was cold. It had been running off and on now for three or four minuites and I thought I had found the problem. After I removed the silencer and found it to be flowing (air comp) I pulled the pipe and started blowing air through it and it would not flow. A flashlight revieled silencer packing in the outlet of the pipe about 5 inches down rjght where it tapers. Well I fianly got it out after about of twenty minuites of stress and finally got four handfulls of silencer packing out of the pipe, has anyone ever herd of this?

 

i've heard of it and seen it get stuck in the silencer and block flow...but the pipe..wtf..how does that work

NO COMPAIRISON, the FMF might as well ben the stock pipe from what I remember.

 

anybody know where the DG pipe falls in comparision. My buddy had a Zilla with an FMF and I have a DG mine seems better.
