I had a 91 Quadsport that was bullteproof! I had that thing up to the headlight in water a couple of times and she kept on kickin! The only manufacturer that comes close to Honda's reliability is Suzuki.

I have an 85 quadsport and its only had the motor rebuilt twice, once in the early 90's and last month. The quadsport is super reliable in my opinion.

only trouble i've seen is that the oil pickup is in front and riding wheelies for long distances burn up the cam's as they dont get the oil. other than that, my 86 is still on the std bore which is pretty nice considering its 19 years old. A engine is only as good as it is taken care of... a neglected engine will be a bad experience for anyone. routine oil changes and OIL FILTER changes are life savers and dont forget the lill screen under the front of the engine..

I have an 87 and i cracked the magneto cover and part of the block in june of last year and just two days ago put on a new cover and jb welded the blocked dumped fresh gas into it and it started the first kick! The only problem ive had with the motor is hard starting if its below about 40 degrees, i am forced to keep mine in a lean to outside so it stays cold. I feel the motor is very reliable, just watch those D*** swingarm bearings
