A winch, well a decent winch anyway, will not drop the load w/ the power off. Now if it's got a load on it and you accidently put it in free-spool mode, better hope you got steel toes on. Course if you try this w/ a $50 winch and it drops and breaks w/e.....I'm not responsible [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
