Which skidplate? If it is a swingarm skid, there are four bolt holes on the bottom of the swinger.

If it's the engine skid plate I bought the same one off of eBay a couple of months ago. I haven't installed it yet as I've pulled the engine to do a top end, but I believe it bolts to the stock skid plate. Of course, if you're like me, the original has been destoyed so it's back to eBay for one of those or figure out how to use it some other way when the time comes.

See the ridges on the skid? They each have two holes in them, right? Just match those holes up with the swingarm, you will most likely be using boltholes that are already holding something to the swingarm. I bought a Moose skidplate for my '85 LT250r(same swingarm) and I am pretty sure it bolted right on to where the stock guard mounted. Actually, I don't have the quad at my house to look at it, but now that I think about it, yeah, it does mount to the sides.
