i talked to my dealer he said to use a 140 jet, i put it in, i rode it for a little bit, now i come back and it wont idle. i let it cool down, warmed it up again as soon as it gets warm it wont idle and quits. after a lil bit it will start again wont idle for s|-|!t, touch gas cuts and kills. what is goign on now!!

 

Bummer... But you have to realize, jetting an engine is not just a simple screw out one jet, screw in another thing. Any time you change the main jet you will likely have to adjust the mixture screw some. And the idle may need to be adjusted as well. It's going to take some tweeking and testing to get everything adjusted to the new jet.

Start with a clean air filter, fresh gas and a new spark plug. It will take some time and effort to get to the right combination of jet and settings for your particular set-up.

i just put everything back to stock, and it wont run. runs for a little then quits and wont start/ idle! what did i do?

 

Is it back to being totally stock...air box lid and all? Wheres the mixture screw set at? All lines and cabels connected back up? Choke cable binding?

 

check and see if it's getting gas at all...you also might wanna check to make sure something ain't blocking the airfilter..hope that helps

 

i know its getting gas. it will run until it gets warm then wont. somebody please help i have group ride tomorrow and i really want to go. any trobuleshooting tips?
