Default Blown packing in exhaust

Has anybody had this problem? pulled off the end cap and all the packing was gone from the silencer.
Does anybody know what causes this problem?
had my jetting rechecked and its OK. any suggestions?

Default Blown packing in exhaust

if you had bought it used the previous owner could have done this. I doubt that you could have bought it and they accidentaly forgot to put it in when they assembled it.

Default Blown packing in exhaust

I got it new 2 years ago. there was very little of the packing left
cant see where it could go with the spark arrester in it
I was losing power. so I thought the pipe was plugged
was told without the packing it makes it run lean
