Default 1983 Suzuki LT125 Carb Connection Question

As the title says, I have a 83' LT125 that I bought in semi-decent condition. The guy who owned the quad previously had taken off the carb and attempted to "clean" it (and by clean it I mean tear it apart and destroy the floats). Anyways, I got everything back together to a point that I could get the carb on the quad, and get the quad started. This is where my problems/questions start.

How far should the choke lever pull out on the carb? On mine it comes out a whopping 1/4 of an inch, and it seems to do squat for anything.

This carb has several connections that are left bare due to the fact that I have no idea what connects to them. I know where the fuel line goes in, but I don't know what goes on the nipple above the choke, or the tube that comes out of the side of the carb. Can anyone tell me where lines go in/come out of this carb and where they go to/come from?

When the quad was running (Ahh. Sweet, sweet memories) fuel would shoot out from the hole in the primer pump, and if I blocked that off it would pour out of the overflow tube.

When I popped open the primer pump to look at the diaphram I noticed 4 small holes that I assume are used to let air out, but I have been wrong before. Should these be there?

As for where I stand now: When I put the carb on, I can yank on the pull-starter all day long and the blasted thing wont start, not even a studder. I have a strong spark, and I can smell fuel (although I'm not sure it is making it to the cylinder). Keep in mind this thing ran fine last month, and now it doesn't work at all. I have since ripped the carb completely apart and let the body and jets soak in carb cleaner for 3 days to make sure everything bad was gone. I cleaned all the passages (even though I can't figure out why there are 3-4 ways for fuel to exit this carb) and made sure there were no leaks when I stuck it back together. I know that fuel it making it to the carb and into the bowl, but I can't figure out a way to tell if it is getting any farther than that. Any ideas? Let me know.

Does it have a vacumn operated fuel petcock? If it has a pri position, then one of those lines, which has vacumn, when the motor is running, goes there. The other I think is a vent.
This could be why it wont start...too much vacumn leaking.
Have you tried having someone pull it, and bump start it? This is the easiest( both for time and effort) way to start a stuborn motor. Have someone with another quad, or lawn tractor, hook up a tow strap, and pull you around in gear,3rd or 4th, at about 7 mph. Eventually, if it can start..it will start.Tried 1/4 throttle to start?
If the air filter and / or air box is off, it could make it too lean to start.
How many turns out is the mixture screw? Also the idle speed screw could be set too low.

one of the hoses is a vacuum for the fuel pitcock, another is a vent hose, and the last one is an overflow tube for the carb.
