Default KQ racks

I just picked up a new KQ and already I hate the small racks. Is there a machine that can interchange with? My bags from the Vinson hang all over the edges.

Thanks
Doug

I too am getting a KQ...picking it up tomorrow. What are the dementions of the back rack? I just bought a bag that was somewhat smaller than the bag I had on my Vinson but I'm thinking it may still be too big. The bag I have is 13" x 33". It's really going to suck if it doesn't fit!

They are the same width, the KQ rack is shorther though. The front of the bag hangs over the rack onto the plastic. I'm going to pick up some rack extensions and use a rubbermaid box. I'm tried of all the dust and dirt getting into the soft sides.

Let me know where you get them. I'm also looking for something to carry my cooler...something a little better than what I had on my Vinson. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks.

The Suzuki website has front rack extensions for about $100.00
I used 1 inch flat metal strips on my front rack. I cut them the right length to fit across and bolted them down. I was tired of the wide gap letting objects fall through.

I ordered a front and rear bag from Cabelas. they are black soft side bags and they fit great and strap on real well. I also got the gas can/cooler holder and a rear rack extension- not the verticle ones not a drop one either, just a flat one for more room.
There is enough room I mounted the can/cooler holder inside the rack extension and there is plenty of room behind the soft bag for my chain saw. It all fits very well, I thought about buying the rack extensions from suzuki but they want a little to much money for what they are. I will probably make my own, like the front bumper I am making. It is cool... cabelas has some nice stuff for our bikes.

I have a gas can/cooler rack for the Vinson but could you post a PIC so I can see what it looks like on the KQ?

let me see what I can do, I will get a hold of my neighbor and see if she can take the pic and run it. My puter experience is very limited.. I would rather pull mud from my teeth than mess around on this box.. But it is fun chatting with you folks.

Too bad everyone is so far away, be nice to meet up on the trail someday!!!
