Default 86 Quadracer Problems

I just got the bike free and I am putting it together....I got it to kick and it idled low but it ran then the idle started to pick up and then I revved it....it didn't idle after so I pulled the spark plug wire out to kill the bike because I can't figure out how to hook up my kill switch...It ran for a few seconds and now it won't...I changed plugs and reconnected the wiring....please help!!

Default 86 Quadracer Problems

Sounds like an air leak. Check carb boot, head for cracks, ALL GASKETS & SEALS, crank seals especially. Easiest way I've found is to get the engine running, & spray carb cleaner ( use very little ) around the carb, intake boot, head, magneto, etc.

Good luck.

should be a black and yellow and a black and white that goes to the handle bar switch. the black and white is your ground.

there is a few...more banshee's then anything....I want mines to keep up with them...so I think I may bore mines about .60 over...and some other stuff. Oh the kill switch has a black wire and a white wire....do I hook up the black with yellow to the white wire and ground the black?

Keeping up with a banshee? That's not going to happen in a drag race, but in the twisty stuff you should be ok. It's going to take a lot more than a bore to make the 86 LT motor as fast as a well-tuned, piped Shee. Put a Zilla motor in that frame and it's a different story.

For the kill switch, the black/white wire goes to ground and the black/yellow goes to the switch.
