On the KQ's, does the 2 yr extended warranty get initiated by receiving the letter first? Is that the only way I can get it started? I've heard of 72 hrs to sign up for it but is that from the date of postmark? See....My family member bought the KQ on Tuesday in another state for me cuz it was cheaper. I will not be picking it up until Saturday morning and will not be back until the 5th of July. The dealer is full of inept morons and as is I had to tell them what I knew of how the warranty worked. So bought on Tuesday and won't be home till Tuesday, is this going to cause a problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Say what? If you just bought the quad you've got 6months. The extended warranty kicks in after that. You don't need to buy the extended until just before the original 6month warranty ended.

The 2 yr warranty was till the end of June. The dealer had 72 hours from the time you bought it to register your machine for the free 2 yr warranty. All of the info was on the dealer website should they of had a problem. You might be out of luck now though since the 72 hours has passed unless they did it for you within that time frame.
There was also an additional 2 years that you could add for a special price but that had to be purchased at the time of the sale.
