Default LT 80 Starter RELAY

HELLO new to this site. I have a 2000 lt 80 for my son and I'm having a problem getting the starter to engage. I just replaced the battery and the starter will not engage. I looked at the starter relay and it is making a clicking noise. Is this normal? Would anybody know what I should check with the multimeter to see if Im getting juice. I did have problems in the past getting it started and had to jump the battery. any info would be great.

I jumped the starter by pulling off the hot lead and using a spare battery to give it power and the starter worked fine. you might want to try this first. Going to purchase the relay today. Will let you Know if this was the problem. By the way my relay was making the same clicking noise. Let me know what you find .out .

ALso try to jump the solenoid by the starter with a screw driver. If it engages then it probly is the relay. Roughly about $20 to $30.00 from suzuki.
