need help on LT80

Default need help on LT80

quad battery works fine except when running the light at night it slowy drains the battery after about an hour of ridding. and then the battery is dead and wont start the quad. its a brand new battery and works fine for day ridding it will satart the quad every time, just not with running light. anyone know where to start, I hate electrical problems!!!

Default need help on LT80

The charging circiut is designed to keep the battery charged only.
The light would surely drain it.
Maybe a pull start would be a easy answer. It'll start, but the battery would still be drained.
The long term fix would be getting the stator made to charge more. (ricky stator/etc.)

it has an after market light kit just for that bike, why would they sell that if the bike could not charge the battery and power the light both? still think somthings wrong.

Look at lighting kits for most models of ATV's. Most need a stator re-wire to handle the aftermarket lights.
