Effects of motor Porting for LTZ 400
#1
Porting I know is a good way to effect your power output anywhere in the powerband, you can have it done custom to help the bottom end, the top end, or an even power increase throughout the powerband. It's your choice. I would like to know if it is a night and day differnce, and if it is worth the money.
Also I have always wondered if it is ok to completely remove the throttle screw on the throttle limiter, and if you do how does it effect your throttle very drastically.

the z400 head flows very well from the factory ,builders say they can maybe get a 1-2hp from porting the head not going to tell the differance. save the your money and get the cams ,drz-e base gasket and springs.

Where porting can really help is when you start adding stuff like carbs and pipes. On a stock engine you might not see much but you throw in a bore kit and thats where 5 extra ponies is easily achievable. Putting a huge carb wont help if the air can get to the engine.
