problem with suzuki lt230s
#1
Hello. I have an lt 230s. It has the compression release. It starts when it is cold and runs great until you shut it down or stall it out, then it will not restart. If you let it cool down, You can get it started up again but it does not want to start once it has heated up. Can someone help me with this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

My guess is something in the ignition system (Coil, CDI, etc). Are there any cracks in the coil housing? Does it still have good compression when it's hot? If it does then I'd say definitely electrical, if it doesn't have good compression when it's hot then I'd say it's time for either rings or your compression release is holding open. My vote is electrical over mechanical though. Good luck.

I have the same kind and it did that for me and
all i had to do was get it rebuild, but If you just
clean the caberator and change the oil to
mobile 1 oil the it should run ok.
It helped mine.

thank you for the help. Where is the coil and cdi? is there a way to check if they are good? There is still very good compression when the machine is hot. It also starts by push starting when it is hot. Does this help with another diagnosis?
