Can the LT500r be trumped??????????

Suzuki.....you had the technology to make the biggest, baddest quad ever. Quadzilla. Make a quad to match to hps/torque power & you have the atv world in the palm of your hand. It was done in the late 80's, so in this era it shouldn't be much of a problem making a quad like the LT500r.

You guys are probably young. If your 36 like me, you would know the reason you have not seen any quads like the lt500. Because in the late 80s the politicians got together and banned the three wheelers and law suits stopped the manufacturing of the zilla and any high performance Quad. Due to the high number of deaths. until the yfz and 450r came out which is still not close in Hp to the zilla you had not seen any high performance Quads. P.S. look at pics of my zilla.

I remember the downfall of ATC's then eventually the high performance 2-stroker quads, but never have understood how they still market the Banshee's. Doesn't Honda and Suzuki feel they could still have a market spot for the 250r's?

Yamahaw is the only company with a 'pair'... they thumbed thier nose at the mandates and continued to produce the banshee... For that move, Hats off!! However, they did not have any incentive to ever make any improvements other than different colored plastics for well over a decade...
I seriously doubt there will ever be another big HP machine produced. Should some manufacturer ever build a machine that's capable (with reasonable mods) to reach the 85+ HP range, I'll buy it!
