The previous owner use the vinson all the time with a passenger. So i dont know if the rear suspension never be change. Can you say to me if its normal than the upper rear spring has not the same pattern as the bottom (sorry for my english its very hard for my to explain this...) Can you take picture of your rear suspension please because this while help me to check if my suspension as already been change by the previous owner!!

Yes, the springs are in almost a progressive pattern, one end loose coils, other end tight coils. I'm not sure if they are actually progressive or not. All four shocks are preload adjustable. There is a collar at the bottom of each spring w/ five different settings. The lowest is the softest, the highest the hardest. If you don't have the original toolkit you can use Channel-Locks and a towel to prevent marring so you can adjust them to your liking. Good luck w/ the bike, I hope it gives you many miles of enjoyment.

When it comes to suspension, especially suspension, you get what you pay for. You may investigate replacing the stock springs from this website www.bikebandit.com.

After verification with a suzuki dealer, a complete rear suspension kit (Coil spring+shock) cost 345$(canadian) for each side. So, it will cost 700$ with taxe. Its a lot too much!!!!!!! Its not possible to change just coil spring!
Do you know if its possible to buy custom coil spring with weight of atv + me and of the travel of the suspension. Can you help me!!! If its possible, i would like to add different charge rate of coil spring (like elka suspension) to built my own suspension to save $$$.
Thanks for your help!!!!

I don't believe so, it's for Vinson's predecessor. I'm not sure of the similarities or changes between the 98-99 QuadRunner and the 2002-present Vinson. Contact the manufacturer's Techline - 760.948.4012.
