hey guys my buddy just bought an 86 LT250R for 500 bucks needed a wiring harness. thats it the entire top end is brand new. we were geting ready to check for spark and we kicked it over and the kick stater seized right in place and the shifter wont move either. It kick over when we picked it up. I took the jug off and look it over im no tranny mechanic but i can do everthing else. The piston was not such in the bore, the whole thing was locked up right from the crank. you can spin the back tires with some force. This puzzles me anybody got any ideas ?????

well i definitely wouldnt pull it with a car,it sounds like someone may have assembled the tranny wrong, first i would take the clutch cover off and the stator cover off and make sure everything under those is put together correct, you might get lucky there, check the external shift stuff behind the clutch basket, but im willing to bed somoene hacked the tranny together

Hey Blee I know you from Pavementsucks.com I had never seen you on here before? How much you want for that engine? I am not sure I want to put an 86 in and I do have most of the parts for mine but it is causing me trouble as it not only had the top end sieze up it is now leaking tranny fluid as fast as I can put it in. I hope a case isn't cracked when I get it apart and it is just a seal or gasket.
