I've never done an engine conversion, but always wanted to. You will need to do fabrication to make it fitWell do you prefer 2-stroke or 4-stroke. You could use something like a cr250 dirtbike engine or maybe a road bike engine. Try and get a look at some engines and see how they compare to the size of the frame. One thing to remember is the larger the engine the greater the vibrations. After that you will have lt250 smoker.

I checked with the dealer and the mec. said 115 to 160 lb.compresson,anything less is no good ,with head plained it could be 180lb. I have mine torn down,doing ring and valve jobe on it.

While I am waiting for my parts to come in, I took the valves out and they were good, I bought some valve lapping compound and used the drill to lap them, they turned out great,saved myself $100.00 ,thats what the shop wanted to do the jobe.

Valve lapping really isn't that hard. I've done it a few times on old Allis-Chalmers tractors that me and a friend rebuilt from the ground up. Just make sure to check your progress frequently.
