Default trying to build up a suzuki 160

hey guys my friend has a suzuki 160 and we want to try to get everythign out of it to make it run. Right now itll keep up with my suzuki lt250 in 4th gear untill i hit the powerband and then hit 5th. We are trying his quad suprise everyone just because no one thinks a litle quad like that is quick at all. We have already suprised alot of people with it but we want to try to get more out of it. We have played around with gearing some. We already put a twist throttle on it. Is there anyother carbs or anything we can try to put on the quad or andything? Also we were kicking around the idea of shaving the head. Please let us know all the ideas wut we can do besides sell the quad and get another one that would help us out.
thanks,
Jimmy

See how it is for compression if its low rebuild it, planeing the head would give you higher compression and make if faster and give more torque, get an air filter and performance exhaust. Is the 160 2-stroke if so get a set of reeds and you could get it ported.

PS we already got a peformance airfilter on it. What kind of peformance exhaust can you buy? Just make your own?

I've been tryin to look for one but can't find one on the web yet, what year is you 160. I doubt the exhaust would be quite common for you'r bike. When I say performance exhaust I mean exhausts made to give you more hp companies like DG FMF D.E.P Yoshimura etc make exhausts. Try a search on e-bay.

I have a '03 and the compression ratio for it is 9.2:1 I really don't think the engines changed over the years. If they did, it was minimal.

Aftermarket parts for the 160 are hard to come by. I have looked extensively too. Only thing I have found are aftermarket air filter. If you find anything please post it.
