Suzuki air filter problems?
#1
Has anyone had a KQ that has sucked in dust past the air filter? Sounds like I'm not the only one. Suzuki's official stance is poor maintenance. I think they "MAY" have a serious problem with the stock air filter.

I read the thread. Thanks for that. I've been thinking of replacing the paper filter because I 'm going to Moab, UT for 4 days next week. Very dusty...
I checked the Twin Air site and looks like they sell a plastic enclosure and cage along with the filter for around $80.
Has anyone used this? Why the added plastic enclosure?
Thanks,
Mark

Go with the uni, about $25, i was wondering the same thing about the plastic insert. It must just be to keep the filter erect. i ordered the uni haven't recieved them yet. I don't think i'll be doing any riding until i have one installed.

I will have to say go with Twinair, foam filter nad a wire support cage, don't know about a plastic enclosure. About $76 for the assemb;y and about $26 for a spare foam. I prefer the Maxima FFT oil.
