Suzuki is making some great quads.

With the z400 a few years ago, the King Quad this year, and now the new LTZ450, which looks awesome to me, they are certainly starting to make some great quads. Who knows what could be next...maybe a sport quad with the King Quad's engine in competiton with the Raptor...that'd be awesome.

Yes they are. Pretty much every machine they turned out after the Z400 has been either class-leading or the standard by which the competition was measured. The Vinson is also probably the leader of the 500 class if you discount the CTE Honda Rubicon. Supposedly there may be a new side-by-side coming to steal some of Yamaha's thunder. They have all their bases covered except the big-bore sport segment, which I'm sure will come about sooner or later. I think that would be a great idea to adapt the 700 EFI powerplant to a sport machine and I'm sure they're considering it as we speak.

Suzuki makes the best mosquito-foggers in the ATV industry!!! Hell, I killed a swarm tonight, just starting my machine!!
And they have a fabulous warrenty, just as long as you dont have a major problem.

miniweiner, here is your other wonderful comment. What do you wish to accomplish with this response of yours? Here I am as a potential KQ buyer and I get this from you....funny because I could probably tell you triple about Suzuki and the KQ than you can and I don't even own one!!!
Ok everybody, NO KQ for me.......why? Well, miniweiner said that Suzuki makes great mosquito foggers but I don't want one....I want an ATV so I better move on to the next company......

Suzuki makes great machines, as long as you dont buy them the first year or two out. Z400, KQ, Manual Vinson, LT250R, etc. I'm guessing the 450 will follow in these footsteps.

yes, i do agree that suzuki does have a few models that had flaws in them the first couple of years, but im not sure if the new r450 is going to problems the first year. suzuki waited awhile after yamaha and honda had come out with thier 450s to release this one. about the same time the yfz and trx hit the dealers showrooms, suzuki had an idea and since that time they have perfected it with the help of doug gust, and i think it should be a pretty good quad. however, suzuki did do the same with the z400---wait awhile to engineer a quad that topped the other manufactures quads...but the z400 had some big problems with the frame. the r450 supposedly had an aluminum frame. my guess is they dint wanna have any more first-year frame problems and switched to steel. i am not positive it wont have any first year problems but i sure hope not...cause when my dealer gets one you know where im goin to be saturday mornin.

Zuki didnt wait until the 06 MY to release a 450 atv because they wanted more time to work on it, they waited because they didnt even have the engine ready to build a sport quad around. Honda and Yamaha both had their 450 bikes out well before the zuki 450 and earlier than 1 year before they released their atv versions. Zuki just came late to the party this time.
No there are quite a few atvs with no major problems in their first year. But considering that every top of the line atv suzuki makes is the one that has problems then I'd definately be weary on the 450. When the LT's were king they had problems out of the blocks. When the Vinson was top of the zuki ute line it had problems. Same thing with the recent KQ. So everytime zuki one ups itself their products come up broken, buyer beware.
I'm not saying the ltr450 wont be a great bike, nor that zuki isnt a great company with an excellent lineup. I'm just saying that they have more than their fair share of problems on their biggest and baddest new models.
