All new chains on atv don't have a master link. The OEM's can put them together at the factory without a master link for less money. You will have to get a chain press or use a grinder on one of the side plates to get the oem chain off if it has never been changed.

its kinda hard to believe that it still has the original chain. it must have very low hours on it.
just take a cut off wheel and cut right through one of the links. got to be the easiest and fastest way
