Your Suzuki 400 should handle a 400ex. Maybe you just got beat by a better rider

Did you rejet after the pipe install? If you did, how does your plug look? I would bet you are running too lean.
Edit- I've never seen a white bros pipe make much power either....

How did she run? Hesitating at full throttle? If so you need to mess with your main jet.

no it can't be dirver..before i got that pipe..I use to easily beat my friends stock 400ex by like 3 qaud lengths..and when i got my pipe I gained low end but he would crawl up beside me after that and side by side is where we stayed..Im wondering if the disc has more restriction and takes away top end..thats all I can think of.

Hey, with those E series pipes cant you like add or take away discs at the end of the exhaust to change low and top end power? I think my friend just got one of those...

Congatulations. I too am a 03 z400 owner amd I love it. It;s my first machine and I am very happy with it so far. Mine is completely stockat this time. I bought it with 12 hours on it. I can pull wheelis in third gear. Its great. I found some specs on it and it only weighs 398Lbs dry. I launched it about six feet in the air on sunday afternoon, and i kinda scared the Shi* out of myself. I think I'll practice on some smaller stuff before I do that again!

BTW, Does any one know the top speed of a z4oo, all stock?

I would say around 70. Give or take a few mph.

Sweet. Congrats to you too. I have a video of my Z in my bio if you want to check it out. Im also working on another one right now. I bought mine used with lots of mods from a friend. I had a blaster before. Man was that a big change. Its really hard to go back and ride my blaster now. The Z is a solid quad.

...and about top speed Trikemans right. 70 give or take a few MPH. I think I've heard all the way up to about 74 but I would say that 71/72 is the max your going to hit all stock. Thats probably once you hit the rev limiter too. I think thats pretty good.
