My 88 lt250r is on its last bore so I am planning on finding a good engine to swap it in instead of rebuilding the old one. I saw a mojave with a ninja 500 engine in it.......sounds cool ! I know it's a kawi engine but the brand doesn't matter to me. What are some recommended engines to put in a quadracer frame ???

anything is possible, but hey why not put a new jug on and enjoy it, most hybrids cost $$$$$$$$$ and well the end result can be good, see these:

http://www.lancegamma.com/forsale.htm

but if was me I'd go with a new topend kit from FTZ or similaiar:

http://ftzracing.com/

they can supply a new cylinder all ported with a flattop YZ piston etc etc for a very resumable price......... you'll be smilin all the way to the bank with the cash you save on building a mega engined hybrid, just my opionion.....

if you decide to swap, i might be interested in buying the old engine & wire harness, as long as its still together.

Try to fit a Hayubusa 1300cc engine. It's a good engine with plenty of power.

I want to go four stroke........i know that there is nothing like a 2 stroke but I want something that is reliable.

Also dual-sporter I would be willing to sell my engine and all of the wiring harness but I dont know if you would want it....the top end on it has about 10 tankfull of gas run trugh but the next time it wears out you would need to get the whole top en rebuilt and there are chances that the rest of the engine might need some work as well (sometimes the transmission slips in 4th or 5th gear). Is that commomn ? Also I would like to know
what you would do with it ?(out of curiosity) And how much you would be willing to pay for it?

the main reason i would want it is to have a spare.
i'm not sure how much i'd be able to pay... the 4th/5th thing bothers me, but the cylinder doesn't that much.

I know I would not buy it unless i am planning on using it to salvage parts. Just being frank

I think I am going to keep it untill it blows up, then.........big power!

A local shop guy put a 700 QUAD cyl. engine in a lt500 frame, stuck out about 8 inches on both sides, 4 fat pipes coming off it, very intimidating.. it was an old yamaha motorcycle engine. Looked FASTFASTFAST
