I got this in a box of items I bought on eBay. Other then that all else looks good. Didn't need it but came in a package deal. Let me know....

it's rather easy to fix a choke...did you ever take the carb apart?

Nope.. never took it appart. Only pulled on the throttle cable to make sure it still opened the carb. The choke plunger is stuck in. Who ever parted the original quad simply cut the choke cabel and left the plunger in it.

I may tinker with it sometime.. but for now I'm to busy rebuilding the rest of the quad (check out my page for picts). I only mentioned it because in past threads someone said they needed a stock 400 carb.

Oh yeah, I am still looking for a stock Z400 carb. When I get the turbo on my Ozark, I am going to need the larger carb to flow the air and the fuel that the motor will require.

Send me a PM or email me at Cav_GT@yahoo.com and let me know what you want for it.

I know you guys probably don't care, but over the weekend I snorkeled my Ozark as well as I installed a set of HUGE aftermarket headlights. I kept the stock headlights in place, but I wired these aftermarket ones up to the high beams. So with low beams on, the stock lights light up, then when you switch to high beams, the aftermarket ones light up. I had to replace the bulbs in these though. They had 130 watt bulbs in them!! That would have killed the electrical system! I put in 55 watt bulbs instead.

Tuning the quad now with the snorkel is proving to be a PITA!! I keep fouling out plugs.

on your snorkel setup if you are fouling plugs that tell me your getting less air. you can do 1 of two things, try going down on jet size, or increasing the size of your snorkel pipe. if it was me, id increase pipe size if possible. more air=more power. my clutches and manual conversion came in today.....gonna try to work on it this week. the only complaint i have so far is the lever on the clutch is way shorter than the brake lever.....hmm, time for a upgraded brake lever. i'll let you know how it turns out.
