Default 27 ' ITP Mud Lite XTR Radials on King Quad???

I'm thinking about putting 27 ' ITP Mud Lite XTR Radials / 14" C series type 7 rims on my 05 KQ. Does anyone have these on there KQ ? If you do, what are your thoughts about this tire. If you don't have these tires, what have you heard about them?

Thanks....

I am thinking about the same tires but on C series type 7 12". The only problem is I am 400 lbs and I am afraid they will rub because on the tight clearance. I would really like to go with the 27" but I might have to go with the 26's because of my weight. If anyone has some input I would like to hear from ya.

GC1218! I have the 12 inch type 7 black powdercoated wheel on my King with the 26 inch XTR's! I am close to your weight at 360! I have plenty of room! the type 7 wheels are spaced out a little more than the stock wheels! I don't think you would have any problems with the 27 inch tires! But to let you guys know! I have only had mine on the bike for a few weeks and very little ridding time!

Bought the 26" XTRs for my KQ and like them alot so far. Was thinking the 27s might be better but was concerned with clearance without a lift(which I didn't want). Dealer said his "technical" people said there wouldn't be a problem with the 27s rubbing but I went with the 26s anyway. Awesome tire, don't even spin when snow plowing. Probably doesn't help you much but I can tell of no great power loss and like mine. Haven't been in deep mud yet.

Dev Ash thanks for the info. I think I just worry too much. The dealer that I got to had a King with 27" 589's on it and I told them that I think they will rub in an off caber. I got on the quad and two salesmen sat on the front rack with the tires turned all the way with no problems. I was shocked.

No problem GC! Us little guys have to look out for each other! I hope you like them when you get them! What else have you done to your king? I am thinking very strongly about the High Lifter springs that give you an extra 100 pounds of weight capicity and an extra inch of lift! I don't realy want the extra lift but I guess I can push it back down a little when I set on it!

I have the 27s on 14s and it's a good setup. They will rub some on a plastic piece that will need to be tacked down in the front. I drilled holes and got some of the suzuki plastic clips so it looks stock. With 27s you will lose some power but you get lots of ground clearance so it will help in the mud. Also the XTR tires are Great on the hard packed stuff (best I've seen). They also do well in mud and snow but there are other better mud tires our there. Overall these are good "all around" tires.
