if you get hotcams then you need to have the valves shimed
if all your doing is changing the cam chain then you dont have to shim
but I would still have them checked since your changing springs
just remember if you go 13/1 comp or higher then you have to run race fuel
and you will have to rejet. I had my motor ported when I did the 440 kit over a year ago
so when I do the 470 kit I dont need to do it. off hand I couldnt tell you who is good at porting
theres lots of people that do it, its just finding the right one for the job
call around to some places that build motors for quads, since you said you might do springs your going to
have to take it to somebody to do it unless you have the tools to do it yourself
and no you dont need to lower the rpm's

 

well did you get yours all together mucky?? i'm just going with hot cams 2 and high comp(12:1) piston for now.

i found a banshee for $500, so i had to get it . it has a cracked frame but i'm going to get it welded, maybe. they said the motor only has a couple tanks of gas on it(it got melted so they rebuilt it,crankand all.

so right now all i have is rolling chassis(pretty ugly). hopefully i have a dune and a trail bike now,keep your fingers crossed.

well i got my cams,kibblewhite valve springs in. i ordered my weisco 13:1 piston today. so its almost ready to get a make over. mucky , have you got your together now? if you do, how do you like it???

 

I wish it was together the piston was on backorder. tudors called last night and said it was shipping out today
so I should have it running by saturday afternoon.and i'll take it out on sunday to finish breaking it in
I hope all the waiting was worth the money. I have only 2 weeks to break it in and have the jetting done
going for 4 days to the dunes presidents day weekend and thats when i'll know how it runs

I cant find a slow jet for my carb in town, I find it on line but I'll have to wait for it

 

well found the jet I needed and still no piston. nobody will answer the phone at tudors performance
been trying for almost 3hrs now
so my advice to everybody dont buy anything from them> I was told 4 times I would have the parts and I'm still waiting

if I dont have it by wednesday i'm going to cancel it and put the 440 kit back in it
