I really need help with the following:

I ordered some bearings from boss bearings on ebay for my '88 quadsport.
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I tried putting them in tonight and they don't appear to have any hope of going into the arms. I measured the I.D. of the hole in the arms to be 20mm. The outer diameter of the old bearings is 20mm. However, the outer diameter of the new bearings is 21mm.

Have any of you ran into this before?

Check out cheapcycle
Search you model and year on google and add cheapcycle to the end of the search and then go through to engine components and fine the part you need. You can also buy it from them too.

Same bearings right? Cause I know some 1988 models also came with needle bearings. Also, that seller has alot of negative reviews about sending the wrong bearings, he might have sent the wrong ones.

Crank bearings, just to replace, you never know:

Piston kits, depending on what you need:

Or this will guy do the whole top end:

As long as this is the correct vehicle, these parts should work.

Awesome. thanks. now tell me this, boring it to 0.8 will give me more power than boring it to 0.06, why would i not just go with 0.8? any drawbacks/risks?

Stick with the 0.6, 0.8 is the last bore possible and you want to save that last bore for when you need it. The cc's produced from 0.8 is only about 3cc's extra, no real hp gain. You wont notice any power gain either really. Its too small to tell.
