Yup. There are only the round and hex jets. But try the bike shop 1st, they will sell you one jet instead of 4.

Yeah, I've heard of that but I've only seen the 2 kinds in use and if you go to the shop they will have a big case full of the round ones and the hex ones and will probably sell em for $5 each.

No problem, glad to help! That's pretty much the way you do it. You may have to move the clip on the needle too. When you take the lid off, the vacuum decreases at the hole in the carb where the gas comes out to mix with air. So you have to make the hole bigger by raising the needle and/or making the jet bigger. You may even have to adjust the idle mixture.

I have a real nightmare on my engine because I'm using such a large filter there is almost no suction in the carb. It wants to just suck straight air. So, I have to use jets I've drilled to insane sizes to get enough gas.

What's the purpose of such a big filter? Hard to believe you can even get enough fuel to the carb. Do you run the stock 230 carb?

Welcome! Im pretty new here to but iv read threw most the the 1000 pages before i joined. If you read back the past i don't know 3 or 4 pages you can see what im talking about which should really wake my quad up. New pipe, airfilter, 250s cam, and a wiseco piston

Well the stock filter clogs up so fast and you can't clean KN filters without messing them up, so I got the biggest one they had in hopes of never having to clean the silly thing. And I wanted to not have any air restriction. Back in the day, we used to run velocity stacks on our street bikes with no airfilers at all! So, I guess I was trying to copy that and save my intake valves at the same time. The only problem is I upgraded to a 28mm carb. I've thought many times about going back to the stock carb, but this one seems to be working for now. When the parts wear out (which they will soon), I probably will go back to the stock one.
