I thought of doing that, but decided I would screw up the part of the throttle that runs right... So, I ended up sanding some off the last little bit of the needle instead. The rest of the needle is good. Just the last little bit is not sharp enough.

My milling operation.

Took about .050 off and have only a .001 variance.... The head gasket will take that up.
Compression went from 8.6:1 to 10:1. Much better.
The piston comes .014 above deck now. Add the base gasket (.020) and that leaves the piston .006 below deck. With the head gasket, there is .030 + .006 = .036 clearance to keep piston from smackin the head.
Here's everything you'd need to do this yourself: (large tub of elbow grease not pictured )

Check this link 230cc Conversion it says you need to use the longer 115mm rod instead of using the standard 107mm rod. Now I am confused.</end quote></div>
I thought standard was 111.5??? Where did they get 107? The 71mm is the 265 kit, but I guess the piston wont come all the up in the bore unless we use a longer rod. Hmmm... Maybe that's why no valve reliefs. Maybe there is more decking my future. [img][/img]</end quote></div>
I thought the standard was 111.5mm and the longer rod was from Vesrah which is 115.5mm so I don't know where they are getting 107mm.

I ordered the 230,240,250 main jets and 17.5, 20.0 pilots and the 5L1 needle. Right now I am using a 210 main jet and the stock 15 pilot with the stock needle on the richest setting, but since I'm at 7000ft I hope I am in the ballpark with what I ordered.

wonder what happened to 4xjeep, sounded like he was going to dazzle us with extended swing arm pix last time he was on...</end quote></div>
Still underway..
Fabrication takes wwwwway too long when you order parts as singles and only when they are within reason.
Here are a few shots older shots, past the point of no return. while measuring/fitting up the subframe. Will take/post current ones this weekend if I can get the welding done
...wife just calls it Frankenbike and wants it out!
