One of you welder type FAB guys (or gals) needs to come up with a aluminum belly pan/engine guard for the 230. Id luv to have a diamond plate, tig welded, 3/8" thick belly pan. Id give good money for that. Sale a couple ,or six, and that would be a good start to some extra 230 cash.
Thers is a local guy that builds aluminum truck boxs to order. I wonder? I could take the 230 to him and ask him to fit me one. I could then customize to suit. hmmmm.</end quote></div>
I have a full frame length aluminum belly pan from PRM??? I'll rummage thru reciepts to make sure. it isn't 3/8" but it is better than stock.
Yep PRM bottom pan .190, $99

99.00?
Good deal there. Ive got three pieces, the stock belly pan, a DG rear and a (? i forget) unit that runs from just under the front bumper to the stock belly pan. Its 1/4 inch thick. Picked it up off the bay several years back.
I seen a set of the a-arm guards on a 230 on ebay. They look to be simple enough to make. I may get some 1/8" material and a couple J-bolts and have myself a weekend project.

What's all the hubub about under-protection? Mine has that little piece of sheet metal under the engine and its beat to hell, but it protects it still. The only other thing that really needs protection is the sprocket and disk in back. I have 3/16 steel angle iron wrapped around that! And after my last ride, it looked like a tommy gun was emptied at it. So, I beefed it up even more. No problems with the a-arms or anything else.

No, that pic is old. Back when I still had stock balloon tires, lol. But I have 250s shocks on a shelf. Haven't got to try them out yet.
