85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
hi bigmc here is a link to the tires i will get. i was at my local tire dealer and they quoted me at over 370$ for 4 and here they cost a little over 200$.

the only thing i will have to be careful about is getting thru inspection so i can get my tags for the quad. over here you can only run the original size tires or a tire that has been tested. by the way just to make all of you jelous i can ride my quad on the main highway if i want .
thanks brian

Im glad you can read that! Its not "wrote" in redneck so I didnt have a chance.
Good looking set of tires though.
You may ba able to ride on the highway, but I can ride mine without a title, much less tags. Nope, no inspection for me. ( How do you stick out your tounge in smiley face?)
Oh, but it would be grand to be able to ride on the road without being chased by the cops. Just once.
Do you have any good red clay over there? Whats the speed limit for quads over there? In m.p.h., I dont do k.p.h. convertions. You can realy play around with the gearing. Get oh, say 90 (m.p.h.) out of a 230 on the straight away. It would take a country mile (1.6ish) kilo. But it could be done.
MAN!!!
Im jealous.
But its grate to hear from you josmuck. Please, keep us up to date on your progress.

But I will give you this. Yamazuki could have taken some design ques from Honda. The 85 ATC 250R rear swinger is a great design i.m.o. Made better in 86.
The length and angle of the 230's swingarm is the main problem I think. Have you ever paid attention to how steep of an angle the swinger comes off the pivot?
Compare that to say, a Warrior. The warrior's is much better. And the TRX250R, well I need not even start with that machine. Pro's would still be racing copies of it today if they could.
But thats my opinion. I could be wrong. I have been before, once or twice
Latter.

I contacted White Brothers directly when I was looking for mine. They told me that the 28mm would be as big as I would need, even with the mods I had planned. Anything larger would create more problems than help. And of course, the suggestion was spot on. The 28mm is more than enough carb for the 230ish in the storage building out back here.
They may still be able to help you. I dont think the part number is available but you cold contact them and ask.
"White Brothers Suzuki Quad-Sport 230 28 mm Mikuni flat slide carb kit"
Part # 15-355
Telephone # 714-692-3404, I do not have a email address. Sorry. If nothing else, you might get some suggestions.
You can always buy the individul parts. Youve already got all the info you need.
Good luck.

oops Sorry forgot about the German I have been here so long I am starting to think and even worse dream in German.
The name of the tire maker is INNOVA.
About how fast I can go well lets just say that they don't make a quad fast enough to get stopped here, the highway has no speed limit. I cruise to work doing about 95mph
