Its easy. 5HN needle (or whatever it was... about 50 pages back). If he doesn't change the needle, just go ahead and throw it in the garbage because it will never run right. A pack of those numbered drill bits helps jetting too. The way you feel about works shocks is how I feel about those drill bits. Its SO much easier to just drill the hole bigger until it runs right than it is to run to the store or order more jets.

WOOT! I'm back....I graduated Thursday night from my school. I received my bigbore and cylinder a few weeks ago but because of the 18 hour days I was putting in for the school (4-5 hours of homework a night) I put everything on hold. Yesterday I called the local machinist he finally finished milling my cylinder head and replacing the valves so I picked that up. Now it's just putting the beast back together, but not this weekend this weekend is for the family. I received more good news to, I am a day staffer instead of a crew worker so that means normal hours and weekends and holidays starting Monday. No more 14 hour grave shifts Anyway glad to be back and looking forward to interacting w/ you guys again and getting the beast up and running

We have the correct needle, just finding the "best" mix of the jets is driving him nuts. He is a bigtime perfectionist in every thing he does, so I guess I have the right man for the job.</end quote></div>

Well, to quote my friend "I wish my 68 camero burned as clean as this turd!"
Translation, My 230 is jetted to perfection!!! Gonna pick her up tonight!!!!
On another note, anyone have any suggestions as far as a security camera set up with multiple cameras, night vision, motion sense, and DVR??
Long story short, my truck got broken into Saturday night!!
I won't clog the forum with a re-cap, but I almost caught the F@kers!!

What jets n stuff did he end up with?
Sure you don't live in Detroit or something???
Yrs ago I got that x10 package... or whatever its called. Got so many damn cameras I was hooking them up IN my car for a place to put them all. They came with lots of little boxes that are supposed to detect motion, heat, sound, body odor, who knows.... The whole deal was like $200. They work fine until the sun sets. Then you see a black screen. So, I got those black n white cameras that are supposed to see a little better after dark. Nope, waste of money. True night vision is gonna cost you. Now, my mom got some cameras when she lived in NY. She spent $10,000 on them she said. Trying to sell them now for about whatever she can get I think. I don't know much about their capabilities.
The best bet from what little I know about the camera world is the wide-angled x10 with a light that comes on after dark by itself. Put those lights high up on trees or tops of buildings with the compact floresent bulbs to save energy. Run an x10 into a pc with software that will start recording if enough pixels move and press record before you split for the night. OR just get a BIG hard drive and record everything all night and sift thru it if something happens.
