i dont realley want to destroy them as they are still in great shape. when i took the bike apart there was no play in any of the joints or bearing on the whole bike. maybe in the future but right now money is tight so i would like to use as much as possible from the old parts. the only thing i can think of to get them out is heat up the outside ring.

josmuck that ball joint should unbolt from the a arm. that will give you a little more free space to work with it....an acetelyne torch may work if u heat it up and then beat it.

You need a ball joint press. I picked one up cheap at harbor freight. But that really dosnt work for you does it?
I would send you mine, but the shipping would be blitzkrieg on the wallet

But seriously, you will need to be careful of the rubber boots if you use heat. Aluminium foil might serve as a heat shield,........ or heat sink, .......its a toss up I guess.
You could use a brass hammer. That would give you more drive power and REDUCE ( read as, not eliminate) the stress to the threads.

Good luck my man.

P.S.
Does that mean his name is tripod? Tripod the hellion skunk. You are a genius!!!

I have not condidered swaping the axle to a Q.S. unit. Is that a direct swap, or does it involve mods?
This is a real good share toppic. Please............................. share.

Mild Steel my friend.

Easy to find, easy to weld. Send us the specs when you figure it out.

You could try spraying some penetrating oil around the top of the ball joint and the spindle. I've had luck hitting the outside of the spindle with a hammer around the ball joint and usually it will pop out.
