The manifold that fits the 32 and fits the 230 head is part# 16065 for a Kawasaki Lakota 300 (1999). Might as well throw in the o-ring part# 92055A (I forgot to order one for mine.... I guess rtv will work). You may have to sand a little off the carb to get it to seat all the way in the manifold. No big deal.... Then, since the manifold has a metal core, you can port match the carb to the manifold and to the head for a smooth bore all the way to the valve. Its a much better solution than the plain ole rubber ones mikuni offers. I was just lucky I had a Lakota sittin around in pieces.

Or you could try to stretch the 230 manifold to fit the carb. That seems like it would be pretty hard to do. Also, the 230 manifold doesn't have a metal core and its a good 3 or 4mm smaller than the 32mm carb.

Yep, they're the cheapest I've found for oem parts. Sometimes ebay has oem stuff for cheap still in original packaging.
I need to find a good supplier of carb parts. $10 a pop + shipping everytime I wanna change something will get expensive fast! Not to mention waiting a week for it to be delivered is a pain.

A KX85 shifter works nicely. It's what i have on my 230. it's a little bit longer than the stock shifter but i still reach it just fine.

Kids have such big feet now days.
Back when I was in school, the kid with size 13's was considered some kind of 7 ft tall freak we called Lurch, lol. Now it seems 13 is a bit on the small side.
I wear 11-12 depending on the shoe. I might squeeze into a 10.5, but my toes will explode out the end after a month or so.

Well, right now I'm slowly drilling the needle-jet I got now. I only have 3 and 1 is too short and 1 is the primary style... The last one is the bleed type (I guess that's good). Anyway, it seems 2.64mm is too small and 2.73mm is too big, so I have to somehow find a spot in the middle using the drill bits I have which are 2.6416mm and 2.7051mm. I did a little last night and made an improvement, so I'm pretty sure I can get it right on today. Then I'll guess at the size hole I made and order a couple of these http://www.psep.biz/store/mikuni_needle_jet.htm (The 176 series). Then its on to the main jet, lol. Ever feel like just beating your head on a wall????

Randy,
Have you considered spacing the carb flange away from the head? Effectively lengthening the intake runner to increase velocity? Especially now that you have the cool K&N and not worried about fit on the air box.</end quote></div>
I kno im not Randy, but I have never thought of that, that would actually sound like a good idea, but depending on how much he lengthens it, may become an issue as his intake is already pretty far back. But that is deff something that should b looked into, if it hasnt been already.
