Randy, don't forget that carb was built by Sudco for a 260cc kit, not the monster you have built!!!!!! You may need 2 dial a jets for the beast you have created!

Man, I wish I had access to Sudco's knowledge so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. I was thinking how nice it would be just just call em up n ask what jetting would be good for no air filter at all! I think that would be a good starting point, lol.

I was also thinking I shoulda got the dually kit. I found another dial-a-jet on ebay with a starting bid of $10 and no bids and only 5 hrs left. So, I figured I'd steal that thing! I got out bidded at the last minute at $37. I guess I shoulda bidded higher, but I didn't know if it would need a $25 rebuild or not.... And rockymountain has them for $60 new.

I also ordered some check valves to keep the gas up closer to the dial-a-jet. Makes sense to me.

man its running great, just alittle oil leak around the cover for the oil filter, man i can see u have been busy i have been working on a boat im all about starting projects its getting past the starting i have a hard time with. those shifters look great id love to get rid of this lincage</end quote></div>

I used to love my little shifter until I got this 250 engine.... It has a tough-to-shift tranny and it makes my foot sore fast! I kinda wish I had the stock shifter now.... Either that or move the footpegs forward and install a longer shifter. Not sure how I'd feel about having my pegs forward an inch or two.

I'll probably just build up toughness on my foot and deal with it. I like being able to shift fast. Of course, the shoes I wear are little more than socks with soles.... I guess that could be part of the problem.

This is the only 28mm I'm familiar with http://www.bikebandit.com/product/A3309595

As far as I know, mikuni doesn't make a roundslide 28.

Here is a 30mm roundslide http://www.bikebandit.com/product/A3309602

And a 32mm roundslide http://www.bikebandit.com/product/A3309603

Any other carbs are greek to me.... Like stock 28's or keihins or whatever. I have a stack of mikuni parts, so I always stick with them.

Whichever carb you get, its guaranteed NOT to be jetted right. You'll have to buy more parts like needles, jets, and possibly even needle-jets. There is ZERO chance your carb will work right out of the box! Luckily, if you get the 28mm, I know what works in that. I've been running it for a year or so. Still working on the 32 as you know.

I just took it for another ride after putting in a massive main jet. Its still lean, but also the air is pretty cool too. I tell ya what, this thing will move out! I can't wait to rev it out with all that power. Will probably start breaking other parts. If nothing breaks, it will give that warrior a run. It doesn't have the brute force the warrior has, but it seems to have a wider powerband and a lot less weight. It seems like it would easily take a stock warrior and will run circles around the 250ex.... even with the jetting as-is, lol.

I'd hold off on buying stuff until I can give a full report. Right now I'm still in development stage.... Alpha testing really. Haven't even made it as far as beta yet.

So far, I don't see a downside to the 32. About a year ago there was a guy here that said he had good results with the 32.... . I should try to find that post. He didn't do too much to it. He just changed a jet and it worked! So, he said anyway.

Go to page 93 and start reading till page 100. http://forums.atvconnection.co...id=477657&STARTPAGE=93

Wow, I can't believe its been that long...

bprewit was his name. Turns out it was the flatslide 32. Flatslides are more precise on the bottomend. My buddy n I were talking a little while ago and from his studies on the subject, ALL of the racers use roundslides. Therefore, he thinks the flatslide lose the topend a little, but nobody wants to admit it. Otherwise, why would racers use only roundslides if flat ones went faster????
