Default 85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.

Would anyone be interested in buying a 89 LT250S for $100 less than I pay for it after I take the A-arms, front shocks, Rear shock, and tie rods off? I don't think there would be anything else I would take. It would be up here in MN. The guy on craigs is selling it for $700, I'd shoot him five and hope for six. He said the motor runs but is in need of a tune up. (He's a pastor, so hopefully its the truth! )

That guy on ebay selling the 250S a-arms is way overpriced. He wants $200 for the a-arms shipped and 100 plus shipping for the tie rods! I offered him $200 for all of it shipped and he said **** off. haha.

I'd be willing to bet the "tune-up" the guy is talking about is really a worn out intake valve. Those 250S are known for it. Haven't seen one yet that didn't need a new valve. $30 for a new valve and it will run like a new one.

Anyone with enough money to pay that kind of price would already have a few R450's and 700 raptors anyway.

I could write a book about ebay pissing me off. Can't wait till amazon kicks their ***!

Btw, anyone having trouble with this site.... Try Firefox. I'm still waiting for IE 7 to load the page after I already posted 2 messages with firefox. I also tried cleaning the temp internet files and a reboot. I don't know why IE 7 won't load it.

I'm not really sure how to explain getting the carb off. It seems like it would be self-evident.... You take some screws out and loosen the hose clamps and the carb should come out. Turn the carb upside down and take the 4 screws out of the bottom and remove the bowl to find the jets. Use a regular flat screwdriver to remove the jets.

You should remove all the plastic and gas tank and set the valves with a feeler gauge before doing any carb work. Always! .001-.003 for the intake and .003-.005 exhaust. Use a screwdriver in the sparkplug hole to find TDC.

Maybe this article will help http://4wheeldrive.about.com/g...charticles/valves.html

I contacted one of the moderators and they said they are aware of the problems with IE and they should be corrected by Monday.

Cool. I usually keep IE, firefox, and opera around just incase. I just forget my password since I haven't logged in in years.

Stock jet sizes are usually listed here http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_atv_parts.htm

Just pick your year and model and view the carb. For instance, the 86 230S has a 112.5 main and a 20 pilot.
