Just took everything to the machinist St. Patricks day. I looks like he is charging me $250 for everything, removing the old sleeve from the jug, installing the LA sleeve, boreing it, honeing it etc. also includes port and polish of the head, new valves, heavier valve springs for stage 2 cam. That is what I am paying for that I understand..... (Once again, I'm not a mechanic)
This guy came highly recomended from the gentleman that built the 1st Hyabusa powered quad, so once again I am trusting those that know more than me!

i took the pics and have them up now. the way goki had me hook it up was the light still works off the lighting coil and not the battery and thats how i did it , but you dont have to do it that way , you just need to make sure that the battery voltage from the battery doesent feed back to the lighting coil in the motor. the starter kit doesent have any other way to charged the battery other than the stock lighting coil, when you run the lights your battery sees verry little voltage. i have thought about led as well i will keep up with the posts . by the way i still havent got the carb prob fixed

im one cheap bastard, i cant bring myself to spend 125 on an axle, anyone know how much stronger it is than the old one?
Well, I ruined 2 stock ones in about a month while riding pretty hard (and I also weigh approx. 210 lbs) then bought the durablue & road it just as hard all last season without any problems. It was well worth it for me..

Well howdy!
Mr AtomicPunk, How ya been doing?
Long time no type. I hope life and those 230's are treat'n ya good. The axle is one of the "few" parts that has not been replaced on my machine. I need to find a set of hubs and the package will be complete.

Good to hear from you.

Anyone know if there is an external oil cooler available for the 230?

Way back in the day we used to add em to our bigger displacment air cooled VW's, and they worked great.
I was thinkin that the Big Bore kit is going to make for more heat, correct?

If it is available, how would it hook up?

Any knowledge, as always would be much appreciated.

Disreguard the above, found a universal kit at Summit racing, I'll let you all know if it is worth it.
