Got a few more questions, on my rebuild of my 230, but first i wanna say how helpfully this thread is, with out this thread i think my rebuild would have gone south a long time ago. Anyways jsut trying to finish off my 230 and all it needs is brake work the rest is done and ready to rip jsut need the brakes to stop it. The rear needs a new caliper which i'm ordering a rebuilt one from Vinces Cycles, and the front the whole master cylinder/lever combo is messed, it's hacked up, striped pretty much none exsitint and not working very well, does anyone know if I can use any type of front master cylinder from differnt machines. Could I use one from almost any other quad say one from a newer yamaha or even a older yamaha such as the warrior of raptor. Cause the 230 fronts are hard to find and if i find them the are always pricey, and at least in my train of thought any master cylinder setup for the front should work, please correct me if i'm wrong. Again any help on this would be perfect.
Cheers

Hay!!!! Nice ride my friend. Good to see someone else inspired. Folks like you are the driving force behind this thread. When I asked if there were people out there that had a 230, and wanted it to shine once more, I had no idea of the amount of feedback it would generate. Heck, were international now, aint that right josmuck?
As you have seen, there are a lot of good folk on here that share a fondness for the QS230.
Looking forward to seeing those other pics.
I started a new job in mid Jan. and have not had a chance to respond to questions. I hope you guys havnt given up.
saazookee!
Gettin rid of your trusted ride huh? Well we all gotta do what we gotta do I guess. Who ever gets it should know that there newly aquired ride has had a good history.
I'd buy it from you, but my shop is full now. Besides, my wife would kill me. Or worse.
Thanks Guys.

Welcome back Bigmc! Thanks again for the inspiration/addiction! Well I've had a blast on the "turd" lately. But she is now in pieces again! Got the engine out for the 270 big bore. Got a Webcam with the 213 grind with beefier valve springs at their recomedation. Head is getting polish and port, valve grind etc.
Have my Mukuni 32mm, making a new intake is no problem (almost done, actually gonna tie into stock but modified air box) But does anyone know where I can get an intake boot (the rubber part that screws to the cylinder, and the carb clamps to) that will be able to hold my larger than stock carb? I think stock was 26mm and I am unable to stretch the 32mm into its place. Any help would be much appreciated.
