That was line of thinking when I decided to go with Industrial... More broad. Turned out I coulda had a degree in beer drinking and still found a good job! There just weren't that many babies born when I came along; therefore, not as many graduates for the amount of jobs. My passion has always been mechanics, shoulda went with that. Life is just one big set of Legos.

I can't imagine the force it would take to bend an axle. I made a trailer out of a 230 axle and swingarm. I'm sure I've had a ton of weight on that axle before. No question about that. And then towing it around with it bouncing on every bump and the axle still isn't bent! There's no shocks either.</end quote></div>

25-30mph and a fallen tree will do it! I never knew it was bent till I rode it on pavement.

I just started my second semester as a ME student. I love every bit of it

at least you guys are are at a higher pay scale than me, I am a CE I think we are lowest paid of the engineers, I always liked the mechanical stuff, I should of went that way.

Mechanicals like ATVs and Cars are a hobby now not a job, so I still love to do it.

How bent is it? I have 2 axles that are slightly bent, you can barely tell. They were bent when I got them. I figured some shock-bottoming big jumping was the reason.

Ok, so who here is NOT an engineer?

You Might Be an Engineer if...
1) You take a cruise so you can go on a personal tour of the engine room.
2) The sales people at the local computer store can't answer any of your questions anymore.
3) At an air show you know how fast the skydivers are falling.
4) You can quote scenes from any Monty Python or Star Trek movie.
5) You can type 70 words per minute but can't read your own handwriting.
6) You comment to your secretary that her straight hair is nice and parallel today.
7)You sit backwards on the Disneyland rides to see how they do the special effects.
8) You have saved every power cord from all your broken appliances.
9) You have more friends on the Internet than in real life.
10) You actually know what "http://" stands for.
11) You look forward to Christmas so you can put the kids' toys together.
12) You see a good design and still have to change it.
13) You spent more on your calculator than on your wedding ring.
14) You still own a slide rule and know how to use it.
15) You think that people yawning around you are sleep deprived.
16) You window shop at Radio Shack.
17) Your laptop computer costs more than your car.
18) People don't have the foggiest idea of what you do at work.
19) You've already calculated how much your salary is per second.
20) You've tried to repair a $5 radio, twice.

Maybe that's the best way, if it was a job, it might not be fun anymore.

Ok, so who's a Monty Python fan? And who thought it was a snake until they googled it? And who still googled it even after I already implied it wasn't a snake?

Randy lets just say my axle was bent enough for me to think it was best to get a new one. One ride down a fairly smooth road and you'd think it would shake to pieces.

I got a swing arm, carrier, and axle, for dirt cheap.
