now what exatly are you guys talking about, sprokets? :S kinda lost on that one is it soemthing i should take care of often?</end quote></div>

The sprocket is the disc that the chain drives. One on the axle and one on the motor. The chain goes between the two.

Not really a maintenance thing though. You can change the sizes of it to change the drive ratios of the vehicle though. Just like when you change gears on a bike. Bigger sprocket = easier acceleration, smaller = more speed.

I have 12 front and 39 rear right now. Like I said, I want just tad more top end and a little less bottom, so I am going to look for a 13 or 14 front. If you have an extra in good shape I will trade you the extra 39 rear I have that is in great shape.

My rear, on my machine, has SUNTIER/japan printed on it with a symbol between the N and T. So I am not sure how it rates on the market but it has held up very well for me and my weight so far.

I've never actually counted, but I'm pretty sure I'm running full stock on mine right now. That's 12/41, right?

How noticeable are the sprocket size changes?

I've only got stock, sorry. I'll buy the 39 off of you though.

We had it at work, but I think you can get them at Northern Tool or someplace similar. I think its actually a trailer light. It has brake and taillight ability, but since the 230 doesn't have a brake light indicator, I just wired it to the brake since its brighter.

Its just stupid bright too! And its only 3.5W vs the 5W of the normal stock one!
