What'd you go for on Erie?
My Grandpa wants to take a bunch of us out to Lake Michigan and try some Salmon fishing. I guess they used to do it back in the day but it slowed down and they haven't gone since. He said he's heard things have been getting pretty good again though! That'd be an absolute blast.
This summer we're going to try to get out on Mille Lacs, which is a monsterous 132,500 acre lake right in the center of the state, and its called the best Walleye lake in the world. Its kinda funny though, it only gets 40 feet deep!
You can pull in 6 pound Walleyes all day long though if the bite is on.

In the 80's the water level of the great lakes was high. The fish were closer to shore and easy to catch for some reason. I think a lot of it had to do with water temps too.
My dad n I used to fish off a pier in OH. Back then, the waves would come over the pier and wash people's tackleboxes off the other side. I remember carrying back 2 stringers plum full of perch.... As much as a little kid could carry. Now days I can lay on my belly and still not be able to touch the water. That's how low it is. The fishing has dried up too. Back in 2004 me n a buddy fished from dark-morning to late afternoon... about as long as a couple guys can stand being out. I think the total catch was 5 or 6 between the two of us. Ask your grandpa about the lake water levels. Maybe that has something to do with him taking you out salmon fishing.
I've never been a huge fan of walleye. Its ok, but you either need a boat or wade in the river or something that's out of the ordinary and much more difficult that just sitting on the side of the lake, relaxing. The taste of walleye doesn't warrant all that expense and effort in my opinion. I'm not that dedicated. Now if walleye tasted like bluegill, I'd have a bigass boat and live by the lake.

Specs / Info ?(Suzuki LT230S Vault)?
Where did you get 298 lbs? My book says 309 for 85 n 86 and 337 for the latter 2 years.
Also, did you know
"If in 1985, I bought goods or services for $1969, then in 2009, the same goods or services would cost $3996.56"
The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis

Where do you live?
I'm looking out the window and see the mountains.
I was in Miami Oct of 2005 for hurricane Wilma. Although a cool experience to witness a hurricane go right over my head, I wouldn't want to own anything there. One guy moved his porsche to a more "secure" location... By morning a roofing tile had smashed the top of it!

And as bad as that sucker was, we had directTV the entire time... Until the wind blew a piece of something into the dish and moved it. When the power was back on a few days later, I just moved the dish back.

How-to unpackage ITP tires:

Only way I could think to do it. How people get it done without hydraulics is beyond me. I called the factory and they said its how they ship em. I also had trouble getting them to seal on the rims. But after a week or two they finally sealed and have been holding air for a year now.
