nah, the stud is just pressed in to a hole, and the splines on the shank of the stud bite into the hole and prevent spinning... if you can take the hub off, grind the backside of the stud (smooth round head) flat and punch the remainder of the stud out backwards... then just get a new stud.

The tricky part is finding TDC on the compression stroke. There is no inspection plug you can pull out to see where the crankshaft is like most atv's. Once you find TDC on the compression, the rest is easy to explain.
