Your cam is indexed wrong. Sounds like its opening the intake valve on the exhaust stroke. Whith the cover off, rivet holes should be parallel with the top of the head. Locating pin hole should be up. Front lobe (nearest chain) Should be parallel with head, with the lobe toward the rear of the quad. Rear lobe should be pointing straight up.

Its a 97 Polaris XC 440. 3700 miles, starts 1st pull and runs like a champ! Hood's a little beat but no big deal! Only get to ride it a few months out of the year anyways.

Best part of the deal is that it was only $500!

Nice! I got lucky cause sled prices are going up REALLY fast around these parts. A very substantial amount actually in the last few weeks even.

Were you going to send me those pics still? I PMed you my email address.

What are you guys running for headlights? My 230 has an aftermarket halogen deal, which works ok, but the beam is mostly just a horizontal line. I'd like something that will spread out more and light up the whole train instead of just the part at the level of the light.

Soon, you can buy one of my work's LED lights! Check out the Surge 4. I ran one on my DVX for a while and it was sweet.

The dealer I traded mine into still has it. And they STILL have it listed at $1599! Maybe 5-10 years down the road, I'll go buy it back. Then again, I'd be stuck with that foot peg problem again.
